I am mesmerized by the art of this great man. The muted colors, the subtle story the picture tells, the whimsy and the continuity of his work are so stunning. With a son graduating with a degree in Illustration, I appreciate the planning and work that go into great art. James Christensen's work is truly a treasure!

As I read some of the comments many focused on price rather than the work itself. I wish more would keep their comments to the work rather than the price. I like the comment from Liz Lemon Swindle in regards accepting that not everyone likes her work. ".....I felt moved while creating the images, everyone would receive it with that spirit. I now see that is why there are so many artists-so there is something for everyone.

The price is over my budget, but I LOVE the painting. Ironically, it was the whimsy that made me look at the subject more seriously. It speaks to us all, and our baggage.

Beyond "Grest" I have loved Christensen since I first saw one of his masterpieces in a Women's Clinic when I was waiting for a diagnosis of cancer. I kept that image "Responsible Woman" through my surgery and recovery. It made me laugh/cry and marvel at his talent. I wish I could afford them all. Perhaps Greenwich could put out print cards with his pictures??

I love the painting! Wish I could afford it. I carry way to much baggage so I can relate!

I love his great imagination and his fanciful world that he lives in. He can teach truths with humor and whimsy and don't we all wish we could do it as well as he does?

Print is cute, work is good, but cost is much too high in my book for a print. It would seem it was a cartoon hanging on the wall. A page from a children's book.
