Salt Lake Cloudy Sunset
Ken Fortie
The Salt Lake Temple was the first temple started in Utah and the fourth temple finished, taking 40 years to complete. It was dedicated in 1893, three years before Utah became a state and was the only temple dedicated by Wilford Woodruff. It is located in the heart of Downtown Salt Lake and was the first temple to have a standing Moroni statue. It is the largest temple in the church and is recognized world wide for its unique architecture and symbolic nature for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
